Hide future dates when editing your data

If required, you can have data going into the future in your data tables. Perhaps you have targets set out for the whole year or even a couple of years in advance, but you need to edit current data.

Previously you would navigate backwards in your data to do this, but we thought this was impractical. Therefore you can now find an option in the menu bar of the table editor to hide dates that are in the future.

When the box is ticked, all dates in your data that are in the future will be hidden so you can focus on the present when making edits or adding new data. Just remember to un-tick the box if you need to view all of your data again.

Use groups to organise your dashboards

If you have many dashboards in your account that perhaps belong to different departments or teams, it can sometimes take more time than it needs to find what you’re looking for. This is where dashboard groups come in handy.

When groups are enabled, you can organise your dashboards into tabs that each contain a number of dashboards that belong together.

With groups, each department or team in your organisation can quickly find what they’re looking for, whether it’s to create a PDF report for a meeting or to check the status of their KPIs.

Drill down into your charts and export the results

In some cases, there might be more detail in your data than what is shown in your charts. For example, you can have daily figures in your data table, but on your dashboard, you show those figures in a monthly chart.

If you want your dashboard users to see the detail behind that chart, you can turn on chart drill downs. This would allow dashboard viewers to click on your chart to get a view of the data it’s based upon. This data can then be exported to Excel for further analysis if required.

Chart drill downs are also a great way to allow your dashboard viewers a look at data that’s relevant to them without giving them access to the My Data section.
