PERCENTAGES

If you’ve got percentages in your Excel data they might be stored in 2 different ways, either as “85” or “0.85”. When you import data into Target Dashboard you need to make sure you know which format you have.

When you use the data importer for a table that has a percentage column, a check box will be shown on the second tab.

If the check box is ticked your percentage data will by multiplied by 100 when it is imported into Target Dashboard. So, if your percentage data is like that in the picture above you should keep the check box ticked. This means that a percentage held as “0.85” will be shown as “85” in Target Dashboard.

If however your percentage data in like that in the picture below, you should uncheck the box. This means that a percentage held as “85” will be shown as “85” in Target Dashboard.

COLUMN MAPPINGS

The column mappings on the CSV importer are now done automatically so you don’t need to click on the ‘Guess Column Mapping’ button. HOWEVER, it is vital that you check that the mappings have been done correctly.
